PUBG Special Drops and Prime Gaming offered timed missions, Contraband Coupons, BP, and rewards across staggered PC and console schedules.

I still remember the rush of opening PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and seeing a fresh Special Drops banner. It was May 2022, but here in 2026, that month still feels like a masterclass in live-service rewards. Who doesn’t love free loot for simply logging in? And yet, did you know the PC and console schedules didn’t even line up? That small detail changed how I planned my grind.

The announcement brought two different Special Drops events for both PC and Console platforms, plus a Prime Gaming monthly update. Let me walk you through it the way I experienced it: as a player chasing every coupon, crate, and BP stack.

Special Drops 1: PUBG Marathon! 🏃‍♂️

The first event was all about showing up. Clear daily missions during the event period, collect points, and exchange those points for various rewards. Simple, right? But the platform timing made it a little trickier than it sounds.

Platform PDT CEST KST
PC May 11 2022, 12 AM – May 31 2022, 12 AM May 11 2022, 9 AM – May 31 2022, 9 AM May 11 2022, 4 PM – May 31 2022, 4 PM
Console May 19 2022, 12 AM – June 8 2022, 12 AM May 19 2022, 9 AM – June 8 2022, 9 AM May 19 2022, 4 PM – June 8 2022, 4 PM

I remember checking the calendar twice because console players started a week later than PC players. Was that intentional? Probably. Did it make me jealous of PC friends who were already earning points? Absolutely.

Special Drops 2: Contraband Coupon Party 🎟️

The second event was the one I really cared about, because contraband coupons meant a chance at something shiny. Again, the loop was familiar: clear daily missions, collect points, and exchange them for rewards.

Platform PDT CEST KST
PC May 25 2022, 12 AM – June 7 2022, 12 AM May 25 2022, 9 AM – June 7 2022, 9 AM May 25 2022, 4 PM – June 7 2022, 4 PM
Console June 2 2022, 12 AM – June 15 2022, 12 AM June 2 2022, 9 AM – June 15 2022, 9 AM June 2 2022, 4 PM – June 15 2022, 4 PM

Can you see the pattern? PC players got first dibs, and console players had to wait. In 2026, cross-platform events are often better synced, but back then, this staggered schedule was just part of the PUBG life.

Prime Gaming Monthly Update 🎁

The monthly Prime Gaming drop was a separate beast. The reward bundle included:

  • Silver G-Coin Box

  • Contraband Coupon x10

  • Polymer x30

  • 1 Level Coupon x2

  • 15,000 BP

PC & Console availability:

Time Zone Window
PDT May 26 2022, 5 PM – June 23 2022, 5 PM
CEST May 27 2022, 2 AM – June 24 2022, 2 AM
KST May 27 2022, 9 AM – June 24 2022, 9 AM

How did you claim it? The steps were straightforward but easy to fumble if you rushed:

  1. Access the Prime Gaming page.

  2. Click Claim Now below the claimable reward.

  3. Sign in to or sign up for an Amazon Prime account.

  4. Create an Amazon account if you don’t have one.

  5. Add a payment method and start your 7-day free trial if you’re new.

  6. After setup, you’re redirected to the reward claiming window.

  7. Press Go to KRAFTON to link your KRAFTON ID.

  8. Agree to let Prime Gaming access your game account information.

  9. Click Complete Claim.

  10. Open the game and find your rewards in your Inventory.

The original announcement also listed common questions: Do I have to be an Amazon Prime member to receive the rewards? Can I cancel my Prime membership? I started my 7-day free trial but I got charged $1.00 USD. Will every game platform linked to my KRAFTON ID receive the rewards? Help! I linked the wrong PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS account to my KRAFTON ID. Those questions are still relevant in 2026, because account linking and subscription trials never stopped confusing players.

What 2026 Me Thinks 🧠

As of 2026, those exact May 2022 windows are long gone. Live events rotate, rewards change, and PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS has moved through many seasons since then. So if you’re reading this now, don’t expect the same dates or bundles to be active. Always check the current in-game news for live Special Drops and Prime Gaming offers.

Still, the core lesson remains: log in daily, complete missions, stack points, and claim before the window closes. Isn’t that the real battle royale—not just against 99 other players, but against your own procrastination? I know I’ve lost that fight more than once.

If PUBG ever brings back a Marathon-style event or another Contraband Coupon Party, I’ll be ready. And in 2026, with more platforms and more rewards than ever, the only question is: will you remember to claim yours?
